Wattanakoon competed in Miss Thailand Universe 2010 and won first runner-up. She was crowned Miss Thailand Earth on March 20, 2010 in Bangkok, Thailand.
She represented Thailand in the Miss Earth 2010 international pageant which was held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. At the conclusion of the event, she was crowned as Miss Earth Water 2010 (2nd runner-up) on December 4, 2010
